What K2C is
K2C is the partner arm of a working venture studio. The studio originates and builds businesses across technology, lifestyle, and service verticals: the ideas, the infrastructure, the tools, the first customers. K2C finds the people who lead them.
The offer
Leadership equity positions in a portfolio of ventures at different stages. Some are live with paying customers and need an operator to scale them. Some are built and waiting for the right person to take them to market. Some are ideas in the queue that need a domain expert to become real. You step in as a partner team, not as employees: a meaningful stake, operating roles, and the studio’s infrastructure behind you.
The opportunity
The portfolio isn’t one kind of company. It spans software platforms, consumer lifestyle brands, and local service businesses with real crews and customers. That means the right fit might be a product leader, a brand builder, or an operator who’s never worked in tech. The studio’s shared stack works the same way behind each of them.
You get what would otherwise take a year and real capital to assemble: a built product or brand, a shared technical and marketing infrastructure, playbooks that have already shipped, and a studio that keeps building alongside you. You skip the cold start. You bring what the studio can’t build in-house: deep expertise in a market and the ability to run a business in it.
Why this approach
Most expertise never becomes a company because the person who has it isn’t a software builder, and the person who builds software doesn’t have the expertise. Studios close that gap by doing the building first, then matching the venture with someone who can lead it. It’s why studios take a larger stake than an accelerator or a fund: they contribute execution, not just advice. Here, the split depends on the venture and on what you bring, from operating an existing business to co-founding a new one from your own IP.
Who we’re looking for
Accomplished professionals, most often women with 15+ years in a regulated or operationally complex field, ready to turn that career into ownership. For example:
- Quality or regulatory leadership in medical devices: someone who can consult on maturity and compliance, build and scale a small team, and own a vertical product in that space
- Field-service operations: someone who’s run crews, routes, and customers and could step in as operating partner on a vertical CRM
- Hospitality, pet care, or consumer services: someone who’s run a location or a team of providers and could lead a lifestyle brand’s growth in a metro
- Brand, content, or community building: someone who can take a lifestyle concept from launch to a loyal audience
- Organizational change, compliance, or knowledge management: someone with a framework that could become a licensed product
- Sales and market development in a specific industry: someone who can take a finished product to the customers they already know
You don’t need to have built software. You need to know a market cold, be able to lead a team, and want to own what you build.
